Google engineer makes a smart bath room mirror

You must have heard of smart watches, smart phones but have you ever heard of a smart mirror? Long ago a science fiction film The 6th Day had shown the character of Arnold Schwarzenegger using a mirror that actually tells him his schedule for the day.
A software engineer at Google has turned this movie thing into a reality by creating a smart mirror for his bathroom.
Max Braun built his own smart bathroom mirror which even matches some of the lofty expectations set by concept videos and sci-fi movies.
Using some of the easily available supplies in the store, Braun turned his boring bathroom into a smart one. His smart mirror is capable of delivering daily news and weather.
While Max brushes his teeth he can keep abreast of all the latest updates and necessary info at one go. Basically it’s a two-way mirror glass and all it's doing is calling on data that would normally go into a Google Now card - Max can even use his voice to search for info.
However this can be seen as a messy prototype of what a smart mirror can do. Max himself hasn’t been too specific about how it works.
The smart mirror naturally runs on Google’s Android and Braun is currently using Amazon’s Fire TV stick to run the user interface.
According to Braun he is now experimenting with adding traffic updates, voice search and daily reminders, among other widgets. He recently published his work on Medium titled, "My bathroom mirror is smarter than yours".

The smart mirror is capable of delivering news updates, weather updates and Braun is working on making it even smarter by adding more widgets to it.
Braun explains how it works
The smart mirror has been made using simple items that are easily available online and stores. According to Braun the mirror is currently a messy prototype of what can be called a truly smart mirror.
